This round will be the second stop of the USWRA Triple Crown
Watercross Challenge Series and the final round of the 2004 U.S. Grand
National Watercross Championships will be held at beautiful Muskegon,
Michigan on Lake Michigan August 7th & 8th. Muskegon is famous for having some of the hottest beaches
Michigan has to offer. Located
in West Central Michigan, Muskegon’s huge wide beaches, and gorgeous
sunsets it is truly a beautiful location to for the second stop of the
USWRA Triple Crown Watercross Challenge Series.
See the Nation’s Best Watercross Riders as titles are on the
line, compete on the unpredictable waters of Lake Michigan.
From calm waters to 4 to 6 foot waves, you never will know the
conditions of the water. This
will make for some great racing action for riders and spectators alike.
Muskegon has been a very popular race site among the riders
in years past. With it's wide
long beaches, and large sandy hills at the coast line, it's easy to see
why it's so popular. At
Muskegon we will see some of hottest racing action of the year with many
riders from all over the Eastern United States participating in the USWRA
Triple Crown Challenge Series. Also
that same weekend titles will be up at stake for all the Region 6 Riders
as this will be the Final Round of the 2004 U.S. Grand National Watercross
Championships with Overall Awards being given out after the competition.
With 20 laps on Lake Michigan with
ocean-like water conditions, it doesn't get any better then that.
Lake Michigan can have some of the toughest water conditions in the United
States, with it's constant chop and huge rollers. Occasionally, you
will see 4-6 foot waves to content with as well. Buoy's are double
anchored as this huge body of water can provide some interesting Personal
Watercraft Racing. The Freestyle competition will also be very
entertaining as the competitors will be catching some huge air for some
great aerial tricks. This will be a crowd favorite guaranteed.
All of Region 6, Region 8, and
Region 9 will be there as this will be an excellent benchmark and testing
ground for the upcoming World Championships in October at Lake Havasu
City, Arizona.
