this class without the proper attitude will be
packing up his trailer after Saturday qualifying. To tell you
the truth though, I never even saw that rubber band.
I never thought I could be so far in the zone that the
roaring of the engines and the adrenaline pumping through my vanes
and all other feeling would just be totally drowned out.
All I was concentrating on was my line, finding clean water,
and squeezing that throttle as hard as possible.
The pace didn’t even occur to me, I was at the point where
my body and mind went into autopilot mode.
The experience was unreal, and finishing 4th
overall against the best riders in the world in the Pro 1200
Superstock class just made the whole weekend feel like a dream.

But
it really happened and I just thank God that everything went so
perfectly, and that I have a team capable of producing such results.
That weekend is something I will remember for the rest of my
life.
WC:
That’s
flat out awesome.
Getting to that level of competition does require a total
team effort.
And I noticed this year on the National Tour your team was a
1st class act.
Which brings me to another topic, dreams.
Back when I was young, I dreamed of racing Nationally on the
Moto-cross circuit with my father.
I never got to realize that dream, and soon afterwards my
father passed away.
Today, I miss my father dearly, and I can appreciate the
special relationship you have with your father, and you getting to
share those memories with him.
Does your father’s involvement with your racing give you
added enjoyment to your racing?
