Special Feature - Rider Interview

the molding quote was ½ of what I was quoted before and they took the time to educate me on the molding process. I decided at that time to take a risk and roll the dice on the idea. In the spring of ’02 Hot Products USA/Japan approached me with the interest for distributing Goggle Grip and we started producing product at that time. It’s been great to see the product do so well. ‘04 will be our 3rd year and it continues to grow worldwide. Melissa and I run Goggle Grip together and have fun producing, marketing and selling them.

WC:  And what a great product it is.  It’s very interesting to learn this product almost didn’t happen but your perseverance eventually got the product off the ground.  It’s also great to hear that you and your wife work so closely in so many areas of the sport of Personal Watercraft, and you have fun doing it.  You had an experience at this year’s World Finals in Havasu you’ve probably never seen before in all the years you’ve been racing.  In one of your races you were battling with another rider who had lost his pants during the race (they had fallen to his ankles).  What was going through your mind when you were out on the race course and you saw this rider go by you with no pants on?
