Special Feature - Rider Interview

With another friend Jeff Clark, in 3 days we worked extensively together and built a Superstock SXR. It was a lot of hard work, but the end result was a 63 mph SXR that stayed together with no mechanical problems, with over 40 hours of running time by the time the snow fell!

WC:  Your wife is now racing besides just yourself.  Has this given you some added enjoyment seeing your wife participate in the sport?  Does she enjoy racing and share the same enthusiasm that you do about racing?  And congratulations on expecting your first child in early April.

BM:  The result of Melissa racing has definitely added much enjoyment and excitement for me with racing.

Melissa was at my very first PWC race when we first started dating. She always enjoyed recreational riding but never showed any interest in racing herself. After several years of attending races I think she realized she could hang with most of the Novice Woman Ski riders and decided to give it a shot. It was really great seeing Melissa acquire that competitive edge she never had before, she really committed herself to training and practicing and it showed on the course. We are so excited about expecting our baby girl and Melissa has vowed that she is not done with racing and she’ll be back!
