Vin
Danaher to be Co-Announcer for the 2005
U.S. Grand National Watercross
Championships.
Vin
Danaher has been chosen to co-announce
with Jamie Deer on the 2005 U.S. Grand
National Watercross Tour. We are
very excited about the new addition to our
team as Vin will bring much added
excitement to the races with his enthusiasm
and high energy.
Vin is from Oakville, Ontario, Canada and
has been racing for the past 4 years in
the Runabout 800 Class. Vin finished
6th overall in the 2004 World Finals, and
his goal is to ultimately win a World
Title and have fun doing it. On his
spare time he likes to relax, and
participates in Hockey, Lacrosse, and
Kickboxing.
"I got into racing cause I wanted to try
it. I'm still doing it cause of the
family, friends, and camaraderie ......GREAT SPORT.....GOOD PEOPLE...... and a great
time!"
Vin,
along with many other Canadians have been
regular icons on the USGNW Tour for the
past several years and have competed in
the Budweiser / Novi Can-Am Cup as
well. This will bring some added
flair to the tour in 2005 as the smack
will be flying between the US and Canada
riders.
"My 2005 "trash talk" line......I'm just impressed that I can talk "smack" with all the boys I've looked up to for the last few
years!"
Vin and Jamie will make an excellent
announcing combination throughout the year
adding variety to the program. Both
pre-race and post race interviews along
with calling the race action will be on
the agenda making the race weekend action
packed for the racer and spectator alike.
"Got to laugh, to my leading up to
racing, I used to be a rec. rider and I'd see guys like Rick Maj or Bob
Borycki riding. These guys were always practicing at the
beach and I thought man, fast boats! Rick would always
say, "Hey, Are those race numbers on the side of your
boat?" (and there wasn't numbers on my
boat!) ......always makes me smile when I think about it."
The U.S. Grand National Watercross
Championships would like to thank all the
other people that expressed interest in
co-announcing with Jamie Deer, but we felt
that Vin Danaher who's from Canada would
make the best fit to the program and bring
some entertainment and fun back to the
race weekend. When you see Vin on
the tour this year stop by and give him
some props, but also be sure and give him
some smack as well! Welcome aboard,
Vin!
